(cytology) A type of white blood cell or leukocyte that is divided into two principal groups and a null group; B-lymphocytes, which produce antibodies in the humoral immune response, T-lymphocytes, which participate in the cell-mediated immune response and the null group, which contains natural killer cells, cytotoxic cells that participate in the innate immune response.
A condition marked by the presence of cysts resulting from an increase in the size and number of thin-walled lymphaticchannels that are abnormally interconnected and dilated.
“Doctors diagnosed the twins Levente and Csaba as having lymphoblast leukaemia, which is an aggressive blood cancer.”
“In vitro lymphoblast transformation test diagnoses berylliosis and monitors workers for occupational exposure to beryllium.”
“Thus, particularly bearing in mind the uncertain nature of the reaction of biological material, the GB cannot guarantee that it can successfully establish B lymphoblast lines in every case.”
“The lymphangiogram provides information about the internal organization of the lymph nodes in the pelvis and the back of the abdomen.”
“In a normal limb the lymphangiogram will show opacification of five to 15 main collecting vessels as they converge on the lowermost inguinal lymph nodes.”
“Antibody guided analysis of the abnormal lymphangiogram confirmed the presence of abnormality.”
“Thoracic lymphangiomas, lymphangiectasis, lymphangiomatosis, and lymphatic dysplasia syndrome.”
“Chronic Crohn's disease may damage lymphatic channels and leave patients with lymphangiectasis or lymphangioma and associated scarring and vulvar edema.”
